A co-worker of mine found this line of baked goods while on a coffee crawl though Columbus, Ohio. He came into work at the beginning of the week ranting and raving about this cupcake he had over the weekend. Now you should know… this man eats at least one cupcake a day so that should qualify him as a cupcake connoisseur. The experience he had was enough to compel him to drive to the market and purchase another. I just happened to be lucky enough to be in the office when he got back. He had originally purchased this delight to be split between me and another co-worker…. Boy she has no idea what she missed out on!
Taste/Texture: I can’t believe this is Vegan!!! If you gave this to anyone who wasn’t they would never in a million years tell you that it was. I am not a fan of icing because it is usually way too sweet and artificial tasting to me but OMG this was absolute perfection! You can really taste the lemon and not in a tart way! The cake was moist and flavorful. A lot of vegan desserts tend to be starchy/doughy…. But this was neither of those! If you want to see my honest reaction- go check out my YouTube video, link is below.
Price: My co-worker paid a whopping $4.99 for this cupcake at a bakery. Price on the website for local purchase is 3.95, online purchase $4.45 (not including shipping).

Overall: I have to give this one a 10/10. This has got to be one of the most amazing things I have ever put in my mouth!!! It was very hard to control myself and not eat the whole thing. This company uses all natural, organic, vegan ingredients. They are conscious of the environment: they deliver to local companies on bike, compost their waste and even their packaging is 100% compostable! I have to give it to them for creating a quality product. Because this is such a high quality dessert, it is a little more expensive than most things stocked on shelves. But I am guessing that if you are living a plant based lifestyle, or are exploring the option of adopting one then you understand the importance of quality over quantity. You do get a large cupcake for your money… which can be totally dangerous if you are watching your waist line! I am happy and sad that the nutritional information is not included on the label. Happy because if it was I would probably have never tried it. Sad because a lot of people will avoid trying for fear of not knowing how many calories they are consuming. I will definitely be making a trip over there very soon. I hope they don’t mind if my camera comes with so I can share the adventure…
